With speeds fast enough to mess up her hair and smudge her perfectly applied make-up, you’d have thought that Amy Childs would have avoided rollercoasters like the plague.

But The only Way is Essex star revealed that she is a huge fan of thrill-seeking rides as she launched a new competition at Alton Towers.

And she spoke exclusively to the Mail Online about the competition, the TOWIE Bafta win and her plans for the summer.

Sc-reem if you want to go faster: Amy Childs poses on one of the carriages of the Alton Towers ride Thi3teen as she launched a competition to find 20 girls to be the face of its new calendar

She said: ‘I love rollercoaster rides but I’ve never been to Alton Towers so when this competition came along I jumped at the chance.’

Amy, 21, is on the hunt to find a group of ‘Coaster Cuties’ – 20 gorgeous and fearless girls who will starring in the resort’s first official TH13TEEN calendar which will feature the final line-up being put through their paces on the world’s first freefall drop coaster.

She said: ‘I went on it for the first time, and oh my God, it’s the rollercoaster of the century!

Touch up: Even thought she is about to be hurled round a rollercoaster, Amy still has to look her best

‘Now all I have to do is find 20 ladies who are as fearless as me!’

Turning her thoughts back to her reality TV show, the Queen of Vajazzle said she and the rest of the cast were still in shock over winning a Bafta.

she said: ‘We still can’t believe it – I’m surprised we all got on the stage. I almost tripped over my dress.

‘But we’re absolutely thrilled with the win.’

The second series finished in may and there were rumours and mutterings that Amy would be leaving the show.

But she dismissed the reports and told us: ‘We start filming the third series in September and I will be back, I am not leaving. I love TOWIE!’

‘As long as everyone continues to enjoy it, then hopefully the show will go on. and we’re so used to the camera crew now, that they’ve become our family.’

But although she is not leaving the show, Amy has got some individual projects in the pipeline, some she shared, some she kept close to her chest.

She said: ‘I’ve got lots of TV deals but I can’t say anything about them yet and I’m also in talks about a clothing range.

‘I’ve also just shot a calendar for 2012 in Dubai, that was a lot of fun.’

As the third series approaches, the wedding of Lauren Goodger and Mark Wright is one of the big talking points.

When asked if she thought the couple would actually go through with it, Amy said: ‘They’ve been on and off for 11 years, so who knows. I don’t get involved, let them get on with it.’

The competition to find the 20 female faces of the new TH13TEEN calendar is open until August and hopefuls can enter at www.altontowers.com.

The wedding of the year? Amy said she wasn’t getting involved in Mark Wright and Lauren Goodger’s relationship
