I’m not into girly sun holidays — Roz

WHILE her model pals are swanning off on trips to Marbella, Roz Purcell has insisted she’d rather stay at home or go exercising with her sister.

The former Miss Universe Ireland told the Herald that she has little interest in girly party holidays with Georgia Salpa or Michele McGrath — and instead of jetting off to drink cocktails and lounge by the pool, she’d prefer to work out.

“I’m not really into that to be honest. my holiday, if I can get away, will be heading over to Lanzarote with my sister and her boyfriend to train at a resort. If I go on trips I like to go to random places and do sports,” said Tipperary girl Roz.

It’s going to be a packed summer for the 21-year-old, who is the new brand ambassador for Elverys’ sports range Body Logic and is gearing up to run the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon.

As well as training for the 10k event, she’s getting stuck into organising her upcoming Catwalk 2 Himalayas challenge alongside Holly Carpenter and Emily McKeogh, before filming TV3’s Celebrity Salon.

And Roz thinks she could be in with a good chance on the makeover series, thanks to her day job on the catwalk circuit.

“Every day is practice for me because I have to lash on the make-up and tan all the time.”

But she’s not looking forward to some of the Ballymount show’s riskier tasks: “I think if they ask me to vajazzle someone, it’ll be an interesting result. I might get a little awkward … I find that really weird, I just don’t get it. I’d obviously do it because it’d be funny, but personally I don’t get why anyone would want to.”

Speaking at the launch for Buy my Dress 2012 in Sandyford’s Beacon Hotel, the AR beauty added she is finally getting behind the wheel.

“I started getting driving lessons last week, so fingers crossed,” she said.
